ReviewA collection of 10 songs recorded between 1980 and 1986 by this fine Bay area folk artist whose death in 1986 was such a great loss. Drawn from radio shows, studio recordings and live performances the recordings are not always up to the technical standards of her regular studio recordings but the warmth and sincerity of her music comes though clearly. In a couple of cases additional instruments were added to the original sparse performances. All but one of the songs are Wolf originals and joining her are such fine musicians as Nina Gerber, Alan Thornhill, Beth Weill, Bill Griffin & others. (FS) source: RootsandRhythm |
