The Everly Brothers' Best

The Everly Brothers' Cadence sides of the late '50s feature some of the duo's best work. Shooting to stardom in their wake, the Brothers' many Cadence highlights include "Bye Bye Love," "Wake Up Little Susie," "All I Have to Do Is Dream," "Problems," and "When Will I Be Loved." And while their subsequent Warner Brothers material included some additional hits (confusingly, their biggest WB smash, "Cathy's Clown," is included here), the cream of the Brothers' work can be heard right here. Plus, one gets a heavy dose of Boudleaux and Felice Bryant's incredible songs, not to mention the chance to hear of some of the best Nashville players of the day. Maybe not as attractive as Rhino's Everly roundups (one features both the Cadence and WB sides), this original Cadence reissue still holds up nicely after all this time.
