'severe damage' review(s):
Severe DamageHurricane's second album, Severe Damage, impoves on his debut The Hurra by offering harder, more imaginative beats that are based on old-school rhythms, yet are grittier and funkier. The rapping remains a bit of a problem -- Hurricane might be a hell of a DJ, but he's a little awkward rapping and his lyrics often are cliched -- but the sheer musical force of the album makes it a worthwhile listen. source: Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Allmusic Guide |
