'The Triangles' History:

Bio

The Triangles are a five piece band from Melbourne, Australia, who first started playing music together in 2003. Their musical style is informed by many types of music including psychedelic pop, guitar based indie rock and 1970s folk. The Triangle's first two albums Waterfive (2003) and Red Panda (2004) are filled with original, experimental pop tunes and delicate folk songs. Their most recent album Magic Johnson (2005) was released on Australian independent record label Half A Cow, and features a swag of more focused - if no less eccentric - folk pop singalongs. The two singles from this album; Applejack and Let's Replace the Cityscapes received radio airplay around Australia as well as being featured in MP3 form on numerous music websites around the world. The Triangles live show is renowned for being filled with energetic stage antics and a lot of yelling. Their immediate future is likely to include further releases and the stockpiling of countless songs not fit for release.
