'Sondre Lerche' History:
Sondre LercheFaces Down, Norwegian singer-songwriter Sondre Lerche’s debut came out when he was only eighteen. The release had been postponed for a year because Lerche had to finish school first. Yes, even a wunderkind needs a diploma. Meanwhile Lerche’s older brothers and sisters provided an excellent education of classic 80s pop. At the age of eight, he started playing guitar, he wrote his first songs at the age of fourteen and soon started playing live in clubs where he officially wasn’t allowed in because of his youthful age. His music is difficult to categorise, it is somewhere between Beach Boys, Van Dyke Parks and Milton Nascimento. |
