'Sandra Cretu' History:
aboutOn January 7th, 1988, Michael Cretu married Sandra Ann Lauer with whom he had been working next to for several years. Sandra, from Germany, had enjoyed tremendous success at an early age, especially in Japan where the group she was part of had their biggest following. She was born on May 18, 1962, and she received music instruction from when she was about 10 years old. She was only 16 when joining the group known as Arabesque. Michael Cretu was building experience in the industry, working for many well-known artists, and in 1982 his path crossed with Sandra's and they would later fall in love. Together they released some music with little success, but they soon got a group built with solid musicians and composers, and in 1985 they released 'Maria Magdalena' from the upcoming album 'The Long Play'.
