'Rich Wyman' History:

Bio

Award-winning, singer-songwriter Rich Wyman is driven by a powerful talent and a passion that extends beyond his art. A performer, activist and educator, Wyman shines onstage as a keyboardist and vocalist. Behind the scenes, he captivates a different audience as a gifted teacher, community leader, and dedicated father.

Winner of six ASCAP Awards this Allentown, PA native, now Park City, UT based, piano man has opened up for world-reknowned bands such as Alanis Morisette, The GooGoo Dolls, and Bryan Adams. Eddie Van Halen played lead guitar and produced Rich's second album Fatherless Child, and last year Rich toured as pianist for Air Supply. While his music has taken him around the world, from intimate gigs at New York's The Ritz to Los Angeles's Cafe Largo to sold out crowds of 350,000 fans in The Netherlands, Wyman maintains his independent, authentic spirit. His unbridled energy, creativity and stage presence transform any venue into a spectacular display, featuring superior musicianship and extrordinary showmanship. Rock and Roll Hall of famer Eddie Van Halen put it best when he said of Wyman, "I'm blown away by his songwriting and performing." Wyman's piano-driven tunes and heartfelt lyrics have charmed colleagues, critics and fans alike. He has produced half a dozen albums and continues to compose for future albums as well as television and film. A brilliant performer, he dedicates himself to more than 150 solo and band gigs per year plus annual tours in Europe. Wyman has combined his love of music with concern for the environment in songs like Brand New Factory. Not one to sit on the sidelines, he has championed causes, ranging from nuclear testing protests to peace rallies. He challanges his students to "think outside the box" and his fellow citizens to stand up for the environment and human rights.
