'Malleus' History:

MÀLLEUS is an Italian composer whose symphonic, almost bombastic style recalls latter-day VANGELIS. He owns his own label, Studi Màlleus which, according to his website, specializes in "psycho-music. intended as a type of music capable of crossing mental barriers to enter within the Ego". Indeed, the theme of his album "Paranorm - Opera Totale" is about the light and darkness of the universe found inside each one of us. Many people took part to varying degrees in the making of the album, from theatrical groups to individual musicians, orchestras, choirs as well as research groups involved in psychoanalysis, parapsychology and various esoterical research. A highly ambitious concept album composed over a 15-year period, "Paranorm - Opera Totale" is made up of a single 47-minute epic, a musical voyage that is both dark and uplifting, sacred and profane, mysterious and melancoly. It is highly orchestrated with sweeping keyboards, operatic voices, choirs, and dramatic haunting melodies, not unlike VANGELIS's albums "Mythodea" or "El Greco".
