Donal plays the 5-string (Bluegrass) banjo with the band but is also an expert on the acoustic guitar, and he enjoys playing the bodhran, tin whistle and harmonica. Donal has always had an interest in composing his own songs and is also keen to experiment with new songs and styles of playing Irish folk music. Donal's songs tend to be the reflective type as he believes that every ballad should tell a story.His other interests include Irish art, literature, local history and anything to do with the outdoors.
