Members of 'America':
'America' History:
America is an American rock and roll band, most popular in the early and mid 1970s and early 1980s and now best known for their #1 hits "A Horse With No Name" and "Sister Golden Hair." They are also known for the classic rock radio staple "Ventura Highway". Although they were seldom a favorite with critics, from a commercial standpoint, the band's singles and albums were exceptionally successful. Despite the presence of other heavyweight acts like James Taylor and Rod Stewart on their roster, Warner Bros. Records' biggest selling act of the 1970s was America. The band still maintains a strong following and performs over 100 shows per year. source: Wikipedia |
