'Amelle Berrabah' History: 


Biography of Amelle


Amelle was born on april 22nd 1984 in Aldershot Hampshire to Moroccan parents Yamina and Mohamed Berrabah. She has four sisters and one brother. Amelle first started performing with her sister Samiya for their parents in their front room. Amelle later went on to win top of the pops magazine's star search 2003 after wowing the judges with her amazing vocals. Amelle and Samiya formed a band called boo2, performed at showcases in america and recorded an album which never got released. It was at an american showcase that amelle was spotted by the sugababes manager. When co - founding sugababe member Mutya Buena decided she wanted to leave the sugababes their manager immediately remember Amelle from the showcase and asked her to record a few sugababe songs and to supply a photo to show to Heidi and Keisha. Heidi and Keisha obviously loved her voice and thought she had a great look (who wouldn't), she was l later offered the job and after Mutya officially announced her departure on December 21st 2005 Amelle became the third sugababe. She was officially announced as the newest member on december 22nd 2005. Amelle has been warmly received by fans and has toured the uk as part of the sugababes in a headline tour. She also re - recorded red dress, follow me home, gotta be you, and a new song now you're gone for the re - release of the number one selling album taller in more ways. Red Dress was later released as the first single to feature amelle's vocals and reached number three in the UK charts. Follow me gome was also released but only reached number thirty two in the UK charts. A greatest hits album named Overloaded: the singles collection was released late in 2006 and featured all the original members vocals but featured two new songs with amelle's vocals easy and good to be gone as well as previously released single red dress. Overloaded reached number three in the uk charts. Easy was the only single released off the greatest hits and reached number 8 in the UK charts. Good to be gone was to be released but due to lack of time it was scrapped. The sugababes are now collaburating with fellow girl band Girls Aloud, their single a cover of aerosmith and Run DMC's walk this way was released on march 12th with all proceeds going to comic relief. The single reached number one and was the first song feat. Amelle to reach the top spot on the UK chart. Sugababes are currently working an their fifth studio album to be released later this year. Walk This Way entered the charts at no. 1 which makes it Amelle's first number one single, Girls Alouds third and the tenth number one for Comic Relief.
