France have St. Germain and Air, Austria have Kruder + Dorfmeister, Germany have Jazzanova, the UK have Nightmares On Wax and Fila Brasilia, Italy have Nicole Conte, Belgium have Sven van Hees, and Holland have Alex Cortiz. All these guys are still around today, some ten years on. This plain fact suggests creating downtempo music is good for your soul. Listening to it certainly is.
