'Adelic' History:

Biography

Let's go back to days when you were young. You had no qualms wearing out your brother's Police albums and Elton John's 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' was life-changing. When you heard Coldplay and Ben Folds blaring over the radio you were in the cold and lonely back rooms of a university library, severely reminded of your true calling. You are Murray Polisky the lead vocalist, keyboardist and the brains behind your band 'Adelic' and the album 'Logic Has Failed'. Place the artists mentioned above into the proverbial blender and Adelic is what you get.

The group formed in 2003 when Murray met up with ex-schoolmate Mike Southworth who was running a recording studio out of the back of a music store. Murray brought in guitarist Glenn Neilsen, whom he had met at a halloween gig the year before, and Glenn's buddy, bassist Jeff Warren. The chemistry was evident and the songs were arranged and recorded partially at Murray's house and Mike's studio. The resulting 'Logic Has Failed' is an emotionally charged, heart on your sleeve album of alternative/emo melodious pop/rock songs beguilingly more like a third or fourth album than a first. Adelic currently seeks out venues to massage melancholy muscles and teenage angst with their latest tasty hooks and piano driven pop.
